A local man was killed in an industrial accident Tuesday at a Pontiac facility. Police identified the man as Steven McGirr, 46, and said he is from the Grand Blanc area.
McGirr was killed after cleaning a sensor on a robotic arm about 4 a.m. at Hydrodynamic Technologies Inc., on Silverdome Drive in Pontiac, Sgt. William Ware of the Pontiac Police Department said.
When the sensor was clean, the robotic arm grabbed McGirr and shoved him into a press. McGirr was killed instantly.

ouch, that sounds incredibly painful even with the "died instantly" claim. but i could totally picture a HAL voice "please clean my censor dave"

The "good" robots of the future don't have sensor cleaning technology and that leads to their downfall to the "evil" robots. You can't atomize what you can't see.
