Question for "Dark Tower" Fans

Ok, so I am converting Billy into Roland and so far I have removed the index and middle fingers on his right hand(per the books), the bandoliers from his chest, the knife and hatchet from his boots and the rifle holsters from his back.

I plan on repainting his shirt a faded sky blue and his black pants with shades of denim. THe gray vest will be painted a weatherd tan, almost a buck skin tone.

The guns will be painted to look like the guns of his father.

I am going to leave his boots alone mostly because I have no idea how to convert his cowboy boots to shore boots like he has in the book after the lobstrocities got his toe and fingers.


Any other ideas to make the look just right?
