Question

Steve Or Dion

Can you give us any insight into how music figures are picked?
How hard is it to get licenses?
Who's easier to deal with as far as getting figures made-music, sports or movie people?
Any info at all would be cool-
Thanks~

(oh, & when will we see a Zappa figure)

Can you give us any insight into how music figures are picked?

* By how popular the group or person is.

How hard is it to get licenses?

* Very hard, that's why there aren't more music figures out there.

Who's easier to deal with as far as getting figures made-music, sports or movie people?

* Sports, by far. Once you have the license, you pretty much do what you want to, within certain guidelines. Of course, everything must still be approved, but the process is easier than both music, or movies.

Thanks for the answers-

"* By how popular the group or person is."

That's gotta be a hard one to decide.
Do you have a consultant from (like) "Rolling Stone" or is it the guy in the shop with the best album collection?

"very hard to get licenses"

I would have thought Bands/Performers would be waiting at the door wanting to get their figure made......I know I would.

Is this a line McF's happy with and wants to keep going with?
Or not worth the hassle?

All said, I'm very happy to have the few "classic" figures that were made (Jimmy, Janis, Jim, Garcia....even Alice-)
Can't wait for Elvis!

SW,
It's never what you'd think it would be. It's always way more work than you can imagine.

Good question, SW!

I'd love to see more musicians made into toys, as they tend to be my favorites.
