well, today is the first day I actually get to see the Balrog statue that I have on preorder..

And I must say, I like it almost as much as the original.

I caught the info on that one last night trolling the action figure news sites.

Looks very kick ass - but a little more costly for what my wife collects. I think I'll be out hunting down the NECA version later in the year.

For being something that big (probably at least 14 inches) weighing 8 lbs., and being a completely polystone statue, I was willing to pay for it.

AoD - I think it is more than worth it! I just can't start on those things as I get to far into it and want to go back and collect the older one (and then run the wallet up) [img]wink.gif[/img]

I would love the older one, but I'm not spending a damn G on it.

This one is a tad smaller and not as dynamic (The last one he had the whip out and striking it, this one he's crouched low like in the very first scene you see him in) and was $150.00

(Actually paid less because I got it from Joe instead of Sideshow's website, and only paid for tax, no shipping charge cause I live in Florida, and he's only charging I think 134.99)

I have it on preorder as well, and have been eagerly awaiting pics of it. It looks pretty kick ass to me. The original one is a bit nicer, but unless I win the lottery I'll likely never get it. I'm just not willing to pay the price it's going for on ebay.
