Red face

I really used to look forward to their McF coverage. I haven't bought a copy since they stopped.

and Wizard also had their old Spawn cover featured in their section of "this was our magazine this month a few years ago" type of thing, guess hell has frozen over!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yeah, I noticed Wizard used to feature Spawn quite a bit. What the hell happened? Why is Todd so reviled by the comic industry now? Everyone seems so pissed at him.

So I got my new Toyfare in the mail today... it's their "90's special."

I'm flipping through... OH MY GOD!!! THEY MENTION MCFARLANE... once... twice... THREE TIMES!!!

First, how they made the new AvP figs (they were mentioning how 1993 looks just like this year, with AvP, Street Fighter and Nightmare Before Christmas figures coming out), then they mentioned Spawn hitting the marketplace in 1994, then they show a KISS figure!

Granted, they still fail to mention any upcoming lines, etc., and still kiss Marvel/Toy Biz and DC's ass... but I was totally shocked. I was expecting to read all about the toys from the 90's without a single mention of the emergence of one of the most predominant toy companies today.

So they get props for that. Now if they could just get over whatever grudge they have with McF and cover the lines regularly again, that'd be cool...

I'd go back to looking at that mag if they went back to including McFarlane

Last Christmas, my wife bought me a three year subscription, so I'm gonna be getting it for a while. It's not bad for finding out about what OTHER stuff is coming out, but I agree... I wish it had more McF stuff in it, since that's the stuff I truly care about.

It is nice to have a magazine dedicated to my favorite hobby/obsession... I just wish it was more encompassing.

They even mentioned MM 7 at the beginning of the price guide. And the month before they showed the Predator homeworld to be populated by Jewish battle-damaged Preds from MM6 in Twisted Toyfare Theatre!

ToyFare is a great toilet read.

    What? You know it's true.
