So, I went back to my comic shop and scored all this crap:

-Ultimate Nightmare
-Ultimate X-Men
-X-Men The End
-Uncanny X-Men

They actually didn't have any Avengers 500s left, but one of the other regulars, who had a few in his hold box, was nice enough to let me buy one. I love that comic shop.

THEN, I went across town to other comic shop, to pick up the lates POWERS TPB:



Mostly good stuff all around, but I will be dropping some titles after this week. My standards seem to be on the rise.

In the first issue, and asteroid crashes into Russia (this is a flashback to 100 years ago). Then, in present day, EVERY broadcast is hijacked to play a looped message, presumably from aliens, that tells us how fucked we are, and we're all gonna die.

So, The X-Men and the Ultimates go to Russia to find out what's goin on...At this point, I have no idea what's goin on, but it's great so far...

I picked up MOST of my shit at the comic store on Wednesday........including those 2 War Games issues.

I have to say I was surprised at how enjoyable those two issues were. If the next 3 months of Batman is that good, I'll definitely be happy.
