For stubborn old people, who don't like change.
I went to Best Buy an hour ago, and like an ass, picked up the FS version by accident. So, I took it back, and when I swapped it out, I noticed that the FS versions outnumbered the WS versions at least 5 to 1! WTF is with that?
I fucking hate FS...with a passion. Anyone who buys Predator FS doesn't deserve to own Predator...

I think they'll eventually fade out like VHS.....in a few more years EVERYTHING will be widescreen.
not just old people, but stupid people in general
(if, from this statement, you think i meant to imply that all old people are stupid, then you are correct)
but yeah, stupid people will always exist, and therefore so will FS DVDs
unless the TV industry gets off their asses and start making exclusively WS TV sets, and make them affordable

There are many reasons. But it basically boils down to "people in general are stupid."
-they don't like "those black bars"
-they think "those black bars" are distracting because they don't attempt to get used to them...even though the bulk of music videos and a lot of TV now are letterboxed
-they think that "those black bars" crop the top and bottom of the screen, as opposed to the sides being cropped off due to the films being in fullscreen
I think it's time we take action...
Mass-sterilization, anyone?
I think buying a fullscreen DVD already makes you sterile.
For ignorant people who don't understand life.
I can't stand people who don't like widescreen movies because it "cuts off" part of the picture.
I know somebody who owns a widescreen television, yet he still sometimes buys full screen DVD's. I'm like, WTF? He's says he doesn't care because his TV will just stretch it to fit anyway. Trying to explain anamorphic widescreen to him is pointless.
