is apparently actrualy called "Takeshi's Castle" and is shown more or less unedited on british TV. also i've found that it's actrualy supposed to be a single elemination chalange with no teams and is supposed to end with a storming of takeshi's castle by the winners of the game. for some reason the show was restructured as a team game without the final storming of the castle for american tv. i kinda wish it was showed unedited.
edit: also seems to be based on a video game from the 80's.

I'd like to see the un-American version.
But he Yanky one is funny as hell on it's own.
