    Unhappy

Ugh... Don't get me started on the art... Prior to the "Poptopia" arc and the first two issues of the storyline with Churchill were fine but then, in the third, he's gone and (who was it?) Rubi(?) took over and was bad. Then they got really ballsy/stupid and handed the pencils over to a five-year-old draw the forth! ~She gags.~ It was horrible!

But about the whole priest thing - I'm not for him being a priest, although, I do like his character having a spiritual side. Kurt's too much of a swash-buckling ladies man to swear off the fairer sex for the rest of his life. Having him go to church on occassion is fine, but they shouldn't put him there for good.

Besides, being Catholic, I know it takes a fairly long time to actually become a priest and furthermore, it's not something that you decide overnight (or during a six month gap) like our friends at Marvel seem to think it is. Not to mention, how many spins can one put on handing out the eucharist?

i just didn't like the art in 398, which is odd becsuse i normally like Ashley Wood. i don't think it's great right now, but it's ok, not half as bad as a lot of people seem to think. there have certainly been much worse. i thought that 399 wss a big step up. as i see it the first bunch of issues, he was just getting everything together to the point where he could tell the stories he wants to, with the characters he wants, and now that there will be a regular artist again, maybe thigs'll get better. if i'm anything it's optimistic, no one can be a genius all the time, and i think casey just had s bad spell at as particularily bad time smile

seriously, i hate the priest thing, but i would not be happy with a one panel 'i don't wanna be a priest no more' end to it, because to me that would mean he has no resolve, doesn't follow thru with his decisions. there needs to be something that happens that forces him to make a decision that huge (not that there was one for him becoming a priest in the first place, but that's in the past and can't change that)

Yeah, it struck me as odd that he considers himself a priest after six months. I'm catholic as well, and as cool as it is to have my favorite elf share my faith (I assume, judging by what the authors put in there) I'm not sure if his writers know what they are doing. It seems like they have no idea what it is that priests do. All in all I like the idea, I'd just want something done that proves him being a priest actually has a point, not just some random decision to "spice up" the character
