Well, I've been threatening to do this for a long time, but tonight it begins. I'm going to make me a bamf doll.

Have fuzzy blue material, pattern, button eyes, will travel. I'm going to use a modified teddy bear pattern. Wish me luck! I'll keep you posted and put up some pics along the way.

Best of luck to you. I payed someone to modify a TB pattern into a BAMF, but they gave up not long after they started. So I was kinda bummed.

I've been meaning to try my hand at a Bamf doll, i have some spare antron fleece, (da muppet stuff, slightly fuzzy and easily dyed!) and fancy blue fur (worth $100 a square foot (!!!)) which would make some killer hair... have you all seen my mascots? i bet I could make a killer Bamf... but i have no access to a sewing machine or anything till i go go home. le sigh. good luck on your bamf!

He he he. I made one of those a long time ago out of a modified stuffed cat pattern. He came out rather well, I think.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys! I was afraid I would jack up, modifying a pattern, so I made the teddy bear first as a trial run. I'm half done with it, and my Mom's getting a handmade fuzzy blue teddy bear for Mother's Day. It's a good thing she likes blue too!
I've modified the pattern, and I can post it after I make sure it works. I'll be cutting out the material tonight, and I can see the tail will be a challenge!
I'm using the fuzzy fleece material for the doll, and I've got some curly, fuzzy yarn that I'll make into the hair. He's going to have button eyes, because I can't find yellow premade eyes, and I don't want to mess with painting them. The buttons are cool though. They're a semi-transparent bright yellow that almost glows, and they look good against the blue fabric.
The only thing I don't have is a pattern or clue on his costume. He's going to be a naked bamf until then. I figure once I figure out how to do his classic costume, I might do an updated one too, without the detested collar, of course.

He he. I need to stop substituting caffiene for actual sleep, I think. I'm trying to sketch my Bamf! doll, and he looks okay. I'll keep trying, and when my fan art gallery goes through (Elfwood is so slow nowdays with the personal approval thingie)I shall post my attempts up there. Good luck, Slarti! I hope he turns out well! *Bamf! and I wave at you happily*
