Heh, that got your attention. Now stick around for a sec. There may not be very many ficcers aside from me around here these days, but I'll share anyhoo.

As an Outside the Lines fanfic mailing list experiment, I'm the new moderator of an OTL-related message board here on Hostboard called Feedback Central: The Message Board.

The idea is for burgeoning fanfic writers of any stripe to post *unfinished* stories there for editing help, advice, whatever. The purpose is to make fanfic better by creating a virtual writing group of like-minded people to help each other out.

The rules are that writers and editors must act professionally, as in no flames or I'll kick butt, and the writer must be able to *take* constructive critical feedback from an editor. Writers may request only a certain level of editing, such as spelling, grammar or plot advice.

So, if this sounds appealing to anybody, come for a visit! The board is here in the comics category with the Monument at: http://www.pwrhouse.com/cgi-bin/ulti...bb=forum&f=157

There's no stories there as of yet, but as word gets around we hope there'll be lots. You don't have to be a member of OTL or a related list to post.

Beamie, you said you posted there? I don't see it. It may be just me though, or a delay. That board's on the new system and I've noticed some differences between it and this one.

I'll check again in a bit to see if it shows.

Okay, I need a confused and annoyed smilie.

I found it, Beamie, and this is absolutely no one's fault except Hostboard, but here's the thing- I started this board in the throes of the *Great System Change,* and so there are two incarnations of the same stinkin' board. *sigh* Only me, I tell ya.

I'm glad to see a Smallville fic. If you're getting into writing Smallville you might want to sign up to the CTL mailing list for TV fanfic, or OTL for comic fic.

Another thing you might consider, the board's a editing forum. (Read the ground rules post on the new board to see what I mean) So if you want to get specific suggestions you might want to post your expectations. Otherwise somebody might try to edit the hell out of your story, and I don't want you to get any surprises from somebody who gets overeager.

Well, that's the question of the week. It's here, in the comics and magazines category:

But the problem is that after the system change I lost about three topics, a dozen posts, and the board won't recognize me as moderator. I've been trying the get this straightened out for two weeks.

It is an editing board, and if you want to post something to be edited, knock yourself out. We'll still let you play, even though you refuse to call it fic. ;^D
