Who the heck is Ethan Embry?

Ooookay ... now I'm reading that Alan Cumming has signed on to be Nightcrawler. Now, while I think Alan Cumming is very talented, I do think he's a bit ... homely to be the Elf.

Anyone else a little dismayed by this casting choice? :/

I hear he did an amazing German accent in Cabaret, though i have not seen that, but hew is, he's rather homely to play the elf, and he's 37!

And here's some unmanipulated pics of him. They were just too low-resolution to even mess with. The experiments I did on them were amusing though. Ethan as Kermit the Frog, anyone? That bottom one would be a great Nighty pose if it were better quality. *Sigh*

ha, i guess you got that right, the Pyro guy is much more homely than Cumming.

i did go to www.alancumming.com and feel a bit better about the choice... and i am certain he is dripping talent. but i still want him to be dreamy handsome [img]frown.gif[/img] but this choice is sure showinthe dfference between us diehards and them 'other guys' [img]tongue.gif[/img] everybody else seems to be of the opinion he looks exactly right for the part. typical. everyone but fans of the character thinks he's creepy looking.

Yes! It's the crooked nose! He's not too bad, in that skinny dork way. He's got a cute smile and dimples, but that nose bothers me. He looks a lot younger than he is.

I guess I need to go check out the Pyro guy now...

Actually, I once suggested Alan Cummingas a casting choice. Homely? Nah. He's not super pretty or super cute, much to the dismay of all you drooling fangirls (Ha! [img]wink.gif[/img] ) but I think he may do the trick...well, okay. He's kinda goofy looking. And I do think he's too old. I think that they should have cast someone in
their twenties with at least a little "younger crowd" appeal...since they really should capitalize on the Evolution Nightcrawler fandom.
