To truly understand Anime you should watch Robotech, Starblazers, Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop, Burn-Up, Love Hina, Witch Hunter Robin, Oh My Goddess, Chobits, Ai Yoki Aoshi, Ranma 1/2, His and Her Circumstances, GTO, Saber Marionette J, I MY ME Strawberry Eggs, Full Metal Panic, Happy Lesson, All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku, Cutey Honey, Gunsmith Cats, Rurouni Kenshin, Najica Blitz Tactics, Azumanga Daioh, Noir, Martian Successor Nadesico, Ghost In The Shell, Please Teacher, Hellsing and a few million other titles I am too lazy to type in right now.

Yet another ubercute Kannazuki picture
You should definitely watch Noir, it's AWESOME! and if you do you have to find the secret extra Noir - The Unsoled Story (a sock puppet parody) on vol. 6. It's the reason why voice actors should only be allowed out to go to conventions. I'm a Chloe Worshipper
And watch Cowboy Bebop.
And spend half an hour of your life watching Voices of a Distant Star it's so worth it.
And watch all things Miyazaki. Particularly Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.
I'm watching .hack/sign at the moment and really enjoying it. It's definitely for gamers and wannabe gamers like myself.
The top of my wantlist is Trigun.
Hey Hellsing is it worth me finishing my Witchhunter Robin collection. I'm up to DVD 2 and not really sure about the rest of the series, I like it but I'm not desperately seeking the next episodes.

Nobody mentioned Akira, Baoh, Horobi and Evangelion.
I like manga stuff with teenagers destroying the world, or becoming God and destroying the world.
The "destroying the world" part is fundamental for me.
Sailor Moon, the real religion of my high school years. Wait for season three (my most loved, and the best among five seasons).
Uh, Chaos...is there a STRONG lesbian subtext in that anime? You know, strong lesbian subtexts are another fundamental thing for me.
Destruction and lesbianism, that's bliss.

Kannazuki is a true shoujo-ai (girl love)anime so lesbian subtext is an understatement.
Shoujo and shoujo-ai Rulz!
I'm getting all of Saikano this week Yay! It's probably going to make me cry too.

I need to get Cowboy Bebop on DVD. Maybe when I land a job. I've got the movie, but the series kicks ass.
Still can't watch Disney's Lion King without thinking about how they ripped off Kimba. I cut my anime teeth on Kimba and Speed Racer.

I was so desperately in love with Minmei, or Lynn Min May, or whatever you call her in the USA...

Gosh, I had some thoughts on her too. She was in love with such an idiot...
