I guess everyone else thought they were boring this year too...if no one's talking about them, eh? I watched the whole thing and was more entertained by the tributes and minor comedy bits than the actual awards...I still have yet to see Lord of the Rings II and III...so, eh...

But how about Angelina Jolie's dress...? Yowza!

johnny depp was entertaining. he had a few reactions that had be giggling like the madwoman i am.

otherwise, i'd like those three-and-a-half hours back, please. i think i'll go back to *not* watching awards shows.

It was ok. I was just happy to see LOTR win everything. And I enjoyed Angelina Jolie's dress, too!

Also missed some of it, as we switched over to watch The L Word.

I continue to be upset on behalf of the short documentry winner who didn't get to make his speech because his asshole partner used up all the time.

I also enjoyed the dress.

Peter Jackson proved that geeks do come out on top occasionally, and he did so by showing the world he has not a care in the world what he looks like...

I won't stop watching...I still enjoyed it...it just wasn't thrilling...

Well we'd been hanging out listening to the radio which played the bits we were interested in ie. LOTR winning live so we knew all the results before it played on TV. So I had it playing in the background while I was doing stuff on my computer and I have to admit the only bit I was actually distracted enough to stop on the computer and pay full attention was for Angelina Jolie and dress. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

I kinda knew the awards were not going to be all that exciting for me this year, mostly because nobody I really love was even nominated, with the exception of maybe Johnny Depp, who I knew would not win anyhow. However, it was more than that. The awards themselves were boring. No controversial speeches, but no really good ones either. I actually enjoy the Oscars and will probably watch again next year but by then, I won't even remember this one.

And I am so glad to see that everyone else liked Angelina Jolie's dress too. In my personal opinion, it was the best of the night. Very classy, very elegant and ladylike, and perfectly suited for her figure. Yup. Loved it.
