The way light streams thru clouds in streaks sometimes. It makes me feel closer to those I have lost.

A particularly striking moon. The way the sky turns purple sometimes. A great sunset, I don't tend to be outside for sunrises. I am at work or asleep for them. Nature in general I think.

The way a person smiles when they think no one is watching. I saw an old woman smile at a flock of chickadees today - it was slow and sweet and somehow very, very private.

Definitely the moon and stars at night. I love looking up at the sky. The way Mars has looked recently, due to its closeness, has been fascinating to me.

the full harvest moon on the horizon on saturday night. one of the most brilliant things i've seen to date.

the night sky. when the city lights are far in the distance, and without a flashlight one can barely see a hand in front of one's face. when the milky way is bright and glorious.

cats. nothing brings me more peace than a cat. a cat's purr in particular. it's so satisfying to find that one spot to scratch that will cause a cat to purr up a storm and go limp.

the groundhogs in ottawa. even on the most rotten day, the sight of a groundhog poking its head out of some random hole amuses me greatly.

In the middle of the night inside or outside when its really quiet and no one's around and all your neighbourhood's lights look like a lit-up fairy village. Its very cool.

Horses, they bring me peace, to be able to reach out and touch something that has the potential to be so powerful and wild and yet will allow you to share in its power for a moment.

Lying in bed and staring at the wallpaper pattern.

Driving home at night from class along a dark empty stretch of highway, woods on one side of you and railroad tracks on the other side, and a fat yellow or white or orange moon weaving in and out of the clouds.

Touching Chyna's nose and saying "You have a little nose." and her responding "You have big nose!"

The way women move in long skirts or long dresses, or rather, the way the fabric swishes and swirls around their legs and hips.

A certain sideways look (such as the one in Luna's pic when she posts), a crinkling of the nose or at the corners of the eyes, a certain way a half-smile is given.

A well written poem that I just had to read over and over, like Pr?vert's "Pater Noster"

One time, in Chicago this past Summer, feeling like shit on Friday, I saw a flock of birds surrounding this guy as he was feeding them. It was a lonesome sight for me, but at the time time, I thought it was beautiful. (The wind was blowing so cold at the time too and I was wondering why didn't I have a jacket... "It's summer duh... but the wind damn the wind!") Anyway...

Off the Navy Pier in that same city, looking out from the end of it towards the lighthouse. I sat there for an hour or so...

A woman, a very beautiful woman...

Most things, in one way or another.

When I smile at someone I don't know while walking down the street (or whereever) and they smile back.

The smell of yeast in home-made bread dough.

The feel of dough under my hands.
(OK, so I'm into bread.)
