Great sequel and didn't require as much energy to understand as Matrix Reloaded which tho' I didn't sit thru X2's credits Matrix has got to have the longest credits as I sat thru them all to see the preview of the next movie at the end.

I thought Colossus would have a bigger part in the movie so I was disappointed when he didn't.

Jean Gray was v cool in this movie.

The human bad guy and minions was a bit lame.

My theory on Jean Grey having to get out of the plane was that she became some kind of energy transfer conduit transfering the enrgy from the power of the rushing water, to jumpstart the jet which had no power. Not that I know how they turn the water into power but we're having a power crisis at the moment as our hydro lake levels are really low.

I find it amusing that they had a man named Iceman in the group who did nothing about a fracturing dam, that was holding back a river. It wouldn't have been nearly as dramatic if he had actually done something, like covered the dam in a sheet of ice to take some of the building pressure. Much more spectacular to just have him sit and watch as it cracked. Oh, and hang on for dear life while Rogue tried to get the plane to lift off.

One could make the case that Mystique is bi-sexual leaning towards lesbian.

Her understated relationship with Destiny is very well done. But I can't rule out that there was a relationship with Forge thrown in there as well. But I can pretty much guarantee that we won't see Destiny in the movie, nor will there be any correlation of Nightcrawler/Mystique/Rouge. They will all be separate non-related entities in the movies. For one thing, they haven't been fleshed out in the books well enough and would just be conveluted in the movies.

I was thinking that too. The iceman guy didn't get used very well. There were plenty of other things he could have done, but I guess they wanted to concentrate on the major characters.

The Phoenix-effect under the water was just C-O-O-L, wasn't it? That alone was worth half the price of the ticket. I agree: they just destroyed Lady Deaths. And I still can't swallow that Mystique-Magneto affair: she's a lesbian damn it! Does anybody remember the story "Tribute: the first"?
I know, i know authors chose something different for her, but hey, I'm still hooked to Claremont's era...
Sorry, just gay-rants

Wish to see the Braddock gal sooner or later.

I reckon anyone who hasn't seen this by now is not so much of a fan that they'd care about spoilers, so this will be my only warning.

Anyone else notice The Beast talking on the television in the bar? "Dr Hank McCoy" being consulted, and saying something like "well, why don't we just round them all up in trucks?"

I also noticed Gambit listed on the computer screen, and was hoping he would show up so Rogue could have a REAL romantic interest and not Hi I'm Boring Bobby.

I liked the nice touch with the television program about the mother leaving her nest and the young ones being exposed, all the while the soldiers are infiltrating the school.

I liked that the characters actually had depth this time around, but I have a complaint about Jean. I just bought a new wig, and it's the same hair she has, and now everyone is going to think I'm an incredible Xmen nerd who wants to look like Jean Grey. Dammit.

And there are worse mutants to look like than Jean Grey...

And of course there are going to be differences...it's Hollywood...I give them credit for making some things just similar enough to balance the comic geeks with the ovie laymen...
