and you CANNOT tell me that hockey is more boring than baseball. it's baseball. and it's slow paced. hockey's fun to watch, both live and on tv, especially if you have other people in the room with you. it's a social thing. (you do know what "social things" are, right? [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) hockey keeps your attention longer than the 30 seconds it takes a guy to hit a ball, jog to a base, and then wait 3 minutes for the next guy to go up.

Actually Gem, they have a rule now days that keeps the fighting to a minimum. oh sure they still fight, but not half as much as they used to.

You'll never convince me that Hockey is better than Baseball or that it is more exciting...Gem's right, there is all the redeeming qualitties of a brawl involved in hockey and that's about it...Social event, Jelycritter? ALL sports are social events, even hockey, I just think that it's dull...they say that if you go to a live hockey game, you'll be transformed into a fan...guess what? I've been to a hockey game. Had fantastic seats (box no less) and it didn't do anything for me...you want a social event Jely, come to Chicago and we'll hit Wrigley Field...THAT is a good time and it's a baseball game...HELL, if ANYONE makes it to Chicago we'll hit Wrigley Field...

actually what got me into hockey was going to a live game. [img]redface.gif[/img] i won these tickets and thought, what the hell, and i went, and i LOVED IT. the best part about hockey is the "schoolyard" violence. .. heh heh heh. it's so much fun. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]
