hey adam, shoulda known you'd be the first to notice (or at least mention) my disappearance.

hostboard went down when i was in the midst of trying to finish with school and move and all that, and then i got caught up in everything here and sort of forgot to come back till mel said something. (and mel, it's all the boys in indiana, not all the boys in the u.s. ;p ) but yeah. i'm jobless and pretty worthless right now, so i've actually tried to avoid doing anything online except checking my email, as otherwise i'd never do anything else and be *more* worthless. so yeah. i'm still around, sort of.

how's things in NC? how're the kids and all doing?

FriendGollum--I understand. I know how financial situations can be. Much luck to you in getting another job and everything. I mainly just wanted to tell you that I gave in again...and bought THE HOT ROCK. Haven't gotten through the whole thing YET, most of it, but haven't had a real good sit-and-listen either. But the double vocals on song 4 got my interest.

Kids are fine, oldest two in Mississippi with my parents, Tony just turned 9, Tiara soon to be 7, both did well at the end of the school year and will proceed to 4th and 2nd grades, respectively. I seem to have recently developed a skin reaction to some onions at work and my fingertips are raw. Especially sore just under the fingernails.

Gollum! It's good to hear from you again. We were all beginning to worry!

Don't feel "worthless" about the job search bit. It always takes a while, but eventually you'll find the right position. It took me three months to find a job after graduating from college! You might want to consider temping in the meantime. It's a good way to gain experience, find out what you like and what you don't, and have another something to plunk down on your resume.

BTW- don't be suprised if you end up working in the last place you'd expect! I wound up employed by a company I swore I would never work for- and it turned out to be a good experience.

ps.- about Ecuador- Three options:
a.) Do it now, before you're employed.

b.) Postpone it by a year. After you've been working for a year, you will have a two week vacation. (Doesn't that sound bleak? [img]wink.gif[/img] ) Anyways- cut your trip down to a week, or a week and a half and go when you've saved up vacation hours.

c.) Become a teacher. Travel during your two/three month breaks! (Highly recommended!)
