I'm gonna take a stab and say eris was referring to benzadrine tablets. Bennies for short. Popular among truck drivers and students that need to stay up late.

Actually, what I meant was benefits. Paid time off, good insurance, stuff like that.

Doh!! Color me embarassed. I thought the use of the word "bennies" was kind of archaic. And with the proliferation of espresso bars, the use of amphetamines seems arcahic as well. o_O

Obviously, I'm not fluent in eris because I thought she was referring to drugs too and I was a bit confused. I mean, the students may have them but they are usually not handed out by the administrators. [img]wink.gif[/img]

Anyhow, yes, very good benefits. I got 4 weeks vacation starting off, apparently that's standard, and full medical and dental health coverage, plus life insurance. They also offer optional car insurance and house insurance.

Oh, and your four weeks vacation you get does not include the time you automatically get off in December after exams, until the first of January. There's a reason people stay working at universities.

Well, damn! I need to get me one of those jobs.

I just put in for a network tech position here, and if I get it I'll be making big bucks. My old supervisor in IT put in a good word for me. *crosses fingers*
