Anyone ever wonder why we never can get ourselves organized to do a real gathering of the minds? Lord knows I've met a couple of you and would love to meet the rest...but HOW? WHEN? The sheer logistics of it boggles the mind...but it would be oh so cool...maybe I'm just lamenting because I need mroe of a social life...I gots nothing but work and home (though I grant you my gf is at thehome...but she works now so I hardly see her...)
I'd so love to just grab the reins and take charge, but I'm not the most organized person in the world, and it isn't soething I'd dump on another...I know people are interested, but how to pull it off? It would be like the ultimate rave...or something...
It would certainly be wacky.
*sigh*
I'm just venting and lamenting...

I believe the one thing that has always stopped a huge gathering is simple.
Lack of money.

And some have jobs. And spouses. And usually the jobs and spouses could give a damn about whether we meet our online friends or not.

I know both of those factors...though just becuase we'd get together, well, we could bring our spouses and our money, eh?
Really though...it's just a simpl bit of wishful thinking I'm engaging in right now, you know?

If you want it enough you can do it. (OK so I admit spouses and family would make it harder)
Hell! I owe piles of money but I am absolutely determined that I will be in the States next September even if I have to pitch a tent at work because I'm there so long.
er... was that motivating enough or do I have to get the cattle prod out.

No money, Jax. (And that's the truth).
Although I would really, really love to meet all of you, and I'm very sad that I haven't yet, I doubt I will any time in the near future. As far as trips go, I have to limit myself. Jobs, family, bills, and generally wanting to improve my life here, all take precedence over visiting my wonderful friends here.

*sigh* I know all that...it is a major item for me too...but still...one of us HAS to win the lottery someday and then can invite us all out for a big party...yeah, that's it...yeah...

Make near Washington DC and I'm there. I don't have money to go there either, but that's where my boyfriend is so I pretend the money issue doesn't exist as much as possible. 'Cause I think I can safely assume a gathering held in Sackville New Brunswich is right out. The images would be pricelss though.

Wow...typos. I swear I wasn't drunk when I wrote that. Too much reading articles full of big words people use so they can sound smart taking forty pages to tell you something you knew when you were six. But you can't just not read it because you don't realise they have nothing to say until you spend an hour deciphering it. And in the end it all amounts to different people think different things and none of them are right and none of them are wrong so you can't possibly ever USE any of these theories on their own, but we feel it's very important that we give names to them and draw funny little charts that also prove nothing.
I hate my major.
[/end rant]
