This has been bugging me. I was reading over some back issues, and in the one where Francine goes for the job interview (#2 or 3 i think) she says she flunked out of college. Katchoo replies that she was actually expelled. well...why was she expelled? I'm sure it's somewhere, but i don't know where.

Well, there has never been any official answer, however:
In times past, when Terry wanted to keep the plot of an issue secret, he would solicit an issue of SiP to store owners and distributors along these lines:
Apparently F's boyfriend in college was an artist, and scuplted a nude of Francine, which of course she knew nothing about until it was shown. This bogus info was accompanied by a a piece of art showing a statue(from behind) and Francine standing in front of it, in shock and having a coniption.

Of course, this was done expressly for the purpose of not letting the real storyline leak to fans, so this may or may not have anything to do with it. Terry has never said it did or did not happen, but it is the only info that has ever surfaced about F's time in college(bogus of not) Who knows, maybe he'll solicit that story, and it'll actually come out someday....wouldn't that be a suprise?
