There's never been anything to indicate that Katchoo didn't run away several times, who knows when it started, the running away. She could have been doing it since she was 12 for all we know. I think there's a reference to her 'not being able to get away' from her home life, which I took to mean that she'd run away, but had been dragged back by 'the athorities'. This would also explain why she doesn't go to the cops about the attacks, she's already "known" to them as a runner, so she's afraid they'd just think she was making it up or something.

And sadly E-E, she might have endured the attacks over a period of years. Not every night you know, but once a year is once too often! It'd ruin her whole life knowing he could attack her at any moment.
