Im planning on going to school here and living here for as long as possible.

What is your status their? alien,legal alien, etc.?

Right now im on what is called a tourist visa, i can stay for three months, but when that is up i have to get the fuck out. But im applying for school right now, so when i get in and i have proof than i can just get a student visa which allows me to stay until my education has ended. After that we'll see what happens.

How was the airport, as far as all the new procedures?
Before you walk into the airport now they have you walk through metal detectors and Xrays as oppose to doing it before you enter the gate. After that its all the same, check your bag, walk to your gate, show your passport, get on your plane.

Glad you had a nice trip and like it enough to consider staying. Hope your visa pulls through m8. Just don't do anything stupid in the meantime, like starting a parade against the use of cannabis. That'll prolly get you deported faster than you can say "huge bong hit". =P

from what i have heard on the news, there have been alot of people bitchin about the airports mow regarding searches,pat downs, and people doing stupid shit that gets the airport shut down for a couple hours. but thats a diffewrent topic.

Are they keeping tabs on you? or, like when your visa expires, will they actually look for you ?
that intrests me.


how did/do you go about applying for a tourist visa?

Spyder, when his visa expires they won't come looking for him. Odds are they won't find out about him untill he tries to leave the country.

Not a bad deal you might think...

But, if we do it that way, have Tyler stay here illegally, next time he tries to get back in the country they'll say: "Hey, you're the guy who stayed here for months on an expired visa" and they will never let you into the country again.

We're trying to do everything as legal as possible so we can stay together for a good long while. There's enough hassle as it is.

A tourist visa you just get when you land here, it's good for 3 months. A student visa you need to apply for but you have to have proof of going to a school here, it lasts as long as your education lasts.

It's kind of a stupid system, refugees here don't get deported, they just get kicked out of the refugee camp and usually they stay illegally.

But like I said, we want to get this right otherwise we could be in way too much trouble later on.

The tourist visa and student visa work the same if I'd go to the U.S.
