The last movie I saw, I saw today, it was Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey". Other movies I recently saw were Goddard's "Le Mepris", "Das Kabinet Des Dr. Kaligari", "Roma Cita Aperta" and "Lord of the Rings" amongst others. I just haven't reviewed any of those yet.

    Discuss and prosper. :P

Not much of a going out to the theature person but I did end up seeing Lord of the Rings twice....enjoyed it enough to spend the time to download a bootlegged copy off the net biggrin
Watched Atlantis the other day and enjoyed it enough to order it from amazon.com....doesnt look like a disney movie (or act like it) but it sure the hell is one.

    Yeah, I saw Alantis too!

That was sure a weird one... Violence, drinking, smoking!

But funny, in that Disney way...

    And then before that, Momento.

    EVERYONE should watch that movie.

The Cabinet of Dr. Calgari, that movie made me glad that the silent movie era is over and done with.

I last watched The Guilty on HBO, pretty damned good movie. Before that I watched Atlantis and The Lost Boys.

I think the last one I saw was Amelie from Montmartre. If it's showing at a theater near you, you should go see it. Great movie.

No, the last one I saw was thirteen ghosts. I went to see it cause I was going to the movies alone and wanted to save "the good movies" for when I had someone to go with. rolleyes

I've seen Memmento, I thought it was ok. *shrugs*

Its spelled, Memento. smile And I didnt think it was that great the firs time i saw it, but on repeated viewings it definetly gets better. Best film all year.

The last movie I watched was Ammores Perros, a mexican film thats kind of a mix between Pulp Fiction and Requiem for a Dream. Good stuff.

Last movie was that boring American Psycho. Same day we watched the Grinch, I had already seen it. Lord of the rings ofcourse. When we rented AP I actually wanted to rent Memento, but it was gone already.

I wasn't all that charmed by Amores Perros personally, I thought it was trying to be a lot of other films too hard.

Tyler did bring a shitload of other movies and off those you should definitely see Cube, about a bunch of people locked in a mysterious structure trying to get out, Chopper, about Australia's best selling author and former criminal/ murderer, Shadow of the Vampire, about the filming of one of the most famous vampire movies ever Nosferatu, Death and the Maiden, about a woman who thinks her husband's guest is a man who raped and tortured her, Trekkies, a documentary on Star Trek fans, which was hillarious and Unbreakable, which I can hardly describe but was pretty damn awsome and by the director of the 6th Sense, which I personally didn't like, but it should give you an idea.

Any big movies anyone is looking forward to this year? I'm not really clued in myself, I'm just eager to dig into some more classics.

And yes Rev. I agree, I understand the importance of Dr. Kaligari in it's historical context and all but that doesn't mean I have to go see it. biggrin

I'm going to the premiere of Monsters Inc. tomorrow night with the guys from work. Since we're doing it to study the advances of 3D-technology, of course it's tax-deductable. .. rolleyes

And Manga, you've got it all wrong. Girls lick ass! biggrin
