I will be shooting some film with a new 16mm k-3 with ektachrome 7240 sunny day can any one give me some advice on setting?

Technical data 7240
Don't trust the light meter in the camera. It has a reputation of being inaccurate.
7240 is a tungsten balanced film. For daylight You'll need to expose the film as ASA 80 with a KODAK WRATTEN Gelatin Filter No. 85B.
