Want to get your music video played on MTV? It's a cinch, if you can edit it down to 10 seconds. The network responsible for a generation of short attention-spanned viewers has just launched a new, yearlong campaign called MPEG Us, urging the technologically empowered MTV, MTV2 and MTV.com communities to create "10-second, music-inspired video art pieces" to air on all three outlets. There's a bunch of rules you'll have to follow, though: don't mention MTV, MTV2 or MTV.com or use any of their logos; only use music from the pre-cleared library at MPEGUs.MTV.com (sorry, no promoting your own band); and make it small enough to send via e-mail through MTV.com. A jury will be choosing six to ten spots to go into rotation each month. For a full list of guidelines, technical specifications and the MPEG Us gallery, check out the Web site.

Hostboard shrunk each page from 40 topics to 25, so some topics fall off of page 1 too fast, so I thought I'd bump this back to page one.
