    Can anybody give me some advice from the UK?

    I Have loads of ideas for a short film but have no knowledge of filmaking whatsoever, how do i begin to tackle this, equipment cost, technical knowledge can u tak a course or something?

    Anyone's help would be appreciated bear in mind i haven't got a clue to the terminology i'm a complete newbie.

    For starters, this might be a good link...

    I would recommend you do a supersimple project first.

    Make up a 30 second commercial idea. Pick a song you like and shoot images to accompany the song. The key is to like what you are doing, rather than follow some recipe out of a book.

    For your first project, either a Super-8 camera or a consumer camera should be fine.

    The next issue is once you have shot your movie, how will you edit it?

    Are you familar with any type of editing processes at all?

    There have been regular adverts in the Guardian for film courses in London over the summer. Might cost but they are the only ones I have seen and they are nearer you than me. [img]cool.gif[/img]
