I am most intrigued by the top picture taken in a restaurant setting. I like the colors and the grain structure, by is the shot so out of focus?
It seems that even with the iris wide open, if one shoots in the wide position, shoudn't something have come out sharp in the picture?

The fact that you are even getting an image by scanning Super-8 is pretty cool. I don't know how stupid a question this is, but have you experimented with both sides of the film when scanning?

Interesting shots! Did you use any additional lighting, or just use the existing lighting available? How was the film transferred to video?
