in the past i used a little camera that was just a tiny circuit board with a lens attached - it worked okay. i just taped it over the viewfinder - used it for jib arm & remote shots. i think it cost about $75.
it was similar to this one.
in Australia you can pick up a 9volt battery powered b&w minature camera, with leads that plug staright into a portable television for around AU$70, so what you do is attach the camera to the eye piece without side light intruding, and it works a treat. is that what you where after?
i am not sure what to think of the argument taking place, best i stay out of it.....
