    Hi there --
I'm looking into applying to film schools in the coming year and am trying to find out as much as I can about the various schools out there.

One school that I'm interested in is the Los Angeles Film School. Its kind of new, but seems good (they have good people teaching the classes, etc.) But most people I ask about it say that they don't know much about its reputation. Can anyone out there tell me anything about it? I've got all the brochures and stuff, but I'm trying to find out the "word on the street."

Thanks to anyone who can help me...

    Ben Landor

What about UCLA? Or Universal Studios, they teach there I think.

Don't go to film school, it's a waste of money. Instead of spending the money on school, you can go out and make 3 of your own films. Ever read the book "Rebel without a crew"? If not, then read it. It'll change your mind about film school

    yes and no.

If you are fixated on making your own movies....then I think film school will drive you batty.

I strongly recommend picking up a copy of dramalogue and looking at the different sections related to help wanted.

Working...probably for free, on someone elses movie first...

    What an eye-opening opportunity.
