    Hi,
I think it's nearly impossible to get a focused picture in low light conditions, that is outside at the evening, inside in existing ligt etc. How should I do to get the largest possible focal-depth, and the sharpest picture. Is it possible to get a sharp picture in low-light conditions with kodachrome 40?

it's certainly possible. depth of field even at 1.4 should be enough on super-8, especially if you zoom out. overall dark and/or underexposed images will always look fuzzier though, due to film's and the human eye's tendency towards better resolution at higher contrast ratios. try to get some highlights in there. it will increase the percieved sharpness.

I agree with Mattias. I would also do the standard routine of opening up all the way, zomming in all the way get your focus then zoom out to the desired focal length. You would be surprised what a bit of light punching through can do for depth and focus. Good Luck
