okay...so what i have picked up is that
kodachrome is processed a special way and
    it comes back negative

so does this mean you have to send it off
again to get it reprocessed to a positive
image for you to project or can you simply
    just project it negative??

sorry...ive got no idea with this
    i am very new

Simple Answer...Kodachrome reversal film is like slide film.

    Only smaller.

What comes back from the lab is all that there is.

don't scratch it or overuse it.

Inhale it's rich colors and only exhale when you're in an ektachrome frame of mind.

    Arrow

no difference, except k40 is *only* processed by kodak, and the others are *not* processed by kodak.

Kodachrome is not "Only" processed by Koda. Kodak doesn't even process the film in the USA. If you use the mailers it goes to Europe. Dwaynes is the only place in the USA that does K14 processing.

    Kodak is fantastic film stock.
Do not shoot Ektachrome, it does not have the color saturation, and realism of K-40, and it is MUCH grainier!
Underexposed, it gets real mudy like video.
K-40 still looks great underexposed up to a stop (sometimes more, but don't do this intentinoally!).
