    Question

After taking my film to the lab to be processed the clerk said it will return in the cartridge, what is the best way to get the film out of the cartridge and on to my editor, this is a first time for me. I usually shoot 16 or video.
    thanks

The clerk is mistaken. The film will come back to you on a reel, ready to be projected or looked at on your viewer. Your fifty feet of exposed and processed film will fit on a three-inch reel.

The lab removes the film from the cartridge and discards the cartridge prior to processing. It would be pointless and very difficult for them to put the processed film back into the cartridge.

Hope you get some beautiful footage back!
