    Hello,

    a very simple question,

if i use a reversal film, I can shoot and directly project the result without any processing, right?

if yes, what are the real benefits to use a negative based film requiring processing?

    Thanks very much,
    confused Greg

    Cool

No. All film must be "processed"...the closest of any film to being process free is polariod film, which in essence could be called a reversal film that develops in one minutes time.

The advantage too reversal is a lower grain structure and superb color rendition.

The disadvantage is it is "contrastier" than negative stock....so shadows that show detail on negative will come out close to pitch black on reversal.

Each stock has a proper time and place.

The trick is to learn when without going bankrupt.
