How do most of you edit you work?
Splicing
Or
Telecin to Mini DV tapes?

I do a bit of both.
It really depends on what format the finished thing is going to be on.
If you want to blow up to 16mm at some point then splicing is probably the most sensible thing to do.
However if the finished thing will be on tape then why not telecine it and then edit electronically.
One option might be to telecine it, edit electronically. then you know exactly what cuts you want to make (assuming you use just straight cuts) This will make splicing an awful lot easier, since you know exactly what cuts you want to make.
Like I say, Ive done both, there are pro's and cons for each.

I transfer my film to video useing an optex televideo producer and a Sony vx-2000.The producer is just a box on a tri pod that has a flat panel where you point your prjector and has a built in macro lens where you point a video camera.The qulitey isn't bad because there is a little more flicker due to the diferance of the camcorder and the projector shutter speed. Then I import the footage in to my PC and edit it from there. This method is good for beginers like me because it ise't as hard as spliceing the actual film, it also saves time and money.
