    Hi, i'm a new comer!

I'm looking for informations about the
    "Beaulieu 1008 xl"
I'm looking for a user manual and, first of all, for suitable batteries.
Since it's quite rare stuff can you tell me the right voltage? How can I substitute original batteries?

I was asking these same questions (for a model 2008 and 4008) earlier on this same board and if you search this board for beaulieu you should find a lot of info... I made one external batteryback myself and it seems to work fine... my problem is that I haven?t been able to use my Beaulieus yet so much ...have to get them fixed properly first. I don?t wanna ruin them with testing. I also tried to recharge (change the batterys inside) the old batteryback, but it was very difficult without the exactly right size batteries. I have to order them from germany and I haven?t done that yet. With those it should take about 1 hour to do the re-charging, It?s pretty simple. I shoot few frames with my 4008 to my friends film, just to test and I?m waiting the film to get developed. I?ll get back to you then if I have something new to tell.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The 1008 XL just uses regular AA batteries. Nothing special needed there.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Oh, I guess this is the model that was built by a japanese company or something and not french Beaulieu itself..? Am I right?
