    Red face

i'm seriously considering removing my exposure bookmark (with a tear in my eye). i think i stumbled across this place 10 years ago, when it was hosted elsewhere - so it's not a bad run.

i think we're seeing more than a seasonal decline here. as standards fall, youtube is a great outlet for young inexperienced filmmakers and the usefulness of places like this seem eclipsed by the likes of ottfilms.co.uk and even wikipedia and google. the knowledge has been shared .... now let's get to work!

    *Drops to knees* Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Its interesting. In the next while I'll be finishing work on my first feature and that is in a lot of ways the end of my journey with exposure. I came here as a first year in Film School and now as it dies I'm becoming a "filmmaker" whatever that means. I've learned a bit, helped where I could and laughed a lot. It was a good forum. It's dissapointing I'll no longer be able to rip into peoples work/have my stuff ripped apart on here anymore - but as you say there are other avenues now in that regard.

Maybe it's dying because people are actually busy shooting stuff or organising projects. In this respect the forum being quiet is actually a good thing.

Besides, just posting rubbish in order to have a new post every day does not make sense in a forum which is mostly frequented by regulars who have matured over the years.

I would love to see more posts here...

Trying to force a community doesn't seem the proper thing to do either.

Hopefully people will start to post more soon.

    I'm all for suggestions...

    Ideas??

If it is dead here I see it more as an issue with the visitors and not the board itself.

    Good Luck

    <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I agree.

I think a lot of still come here for some good, constructive criticism and share the shit we're unleashing on the world... we should keep it bookmarked for that.

I've not been here for ages - it got so quiet.

Latest thing I've done - as Generic says, for people to rip into you can see here - it's a short promo video for the company I work for showcasing a design job we just did for Molton Brown. You can find it here:

    http://www.conrandesigngroup.com/flash.htm

Go to Recent work, then to Molton Brown, then go to page 5 (with the numbers at the bottom right of the page).

PS. Nigel if you read this please delete the above and below posts. I lost my login details but found them again. Weird that you can't delete your own posts. Cheers.
