Has anyone here applied for funding from the UK film council to film your script or to finish financing your film ?
If so , were you succsessfull? Were you unsuccsessfull? How long did it take to get a response?
I ask because im considering applying for UK film council funding for a particular project and would like to hear about some other peoples experiences with the council.
And yeah , i am aware that the UKFC only seem to give money to filmmakers who are established enough not to need hand outs and wouldnt know a commercialy viable product if it bit 'em in the ass but hey its worth a shot.
Any usefull input would be much appreciated!

Don't send your application by Royal Mail when the fuckers are on strike.

God damn that was a fast reply ! Miker, are you speaking from experience or was that just a general bit of advice?

The timing of my reply was purely coincidental.
Sort of from experience - I was part of a team putting a project forward for "Digital Shorts" but everything got delayed by 18 days during the strike, and we missed the application deadline by a wide margin!!!
