Hey, a friend asked me how films end up being nominated for Oscars, and it's really got me curious. I've looked around on the net for a bit but can't really find anything, so i figured i might ask you guys.
I think i remember once reading that you can be nominated after you have played at 2 festivals, or something like that.
I would imagine that there is a lot of marketing and lobbying going on too, but who is doing that? and who are they lobbying to?
