Im not letting this bug me yet but its gonna, all my footage is 16:9 anamorphic, when i export from premiere it says 16:9 on the options but when i play it back in any other program except premier i get it 4:3 how can i letterbox me doobrie ?

Hey there.
Right click on the video while in the timeline, And click keep aspect ratio.
Despin out.

Sh*t, that's being bugging me too.
I also had a valid question to post, but I can't remember it.
Anyhoo, the thing I'm really posting is to ask Despin what his signature is from. It's familiar but I can't quite place it...

Mini DV shot in Widescreen mode is designed to be played back on a Widescreen TV. It looks 4x3 cause your DV cameras chip is 4x3, but the software on the camera creates an anamorphic distortion (this optimizes quality), which is corrected when the clip is shown on a widescreen TV as it gets stretched to fit the TV screen.
Its hard to get your head round this one.
