Yup dolls and clowns do it.
Ever since I was on a seaside pier when young and there was one of those old scary clowns in a case. You put money in and it would laugh and twitch around. Uhhhgguuhh

I always like in a movie where the tottaly unexpected happens. If you can just tottaly throw off the audience then that can really help. You need to keep them guessing. If you just have monsters and dolls attacking people. It dosen't work and you lose your audience.

hey im back ( A for eng lit (i writ a sweet short story which im turning into a film for coarsework) and b for drama better then i expected
ok so i need to have the unexpected, thats what i figured but it is soo hard, i find everything predictable because lets face it to a point all things are ! (read asimov foundation!)
if you are doing a film where you want to shock people then they will expect the unexpected, how the fuck do i get round this one !,
my scripts based around a man who crashes a car his passenger his bird is dead, hes alive but slowly dyeing without realising, because hes excessive head wounds he hallucinates all weird shit happening to him as he runs around country lanes/forests etc. slowly he dies and you are left wondering wether it was his wounds or his dead girlfreinds spirit killing him.
i have a great beggining with every camera angle etc perfectly thought out ( nice country picturesqe winters night shot slowly panning to introduce a crashed car ( no colour but the flashing lights )no noise hazard lights flashing moves fprwad we see man fall out stagger back hystericle, calms down closes eyes sees dead g.fs face smiling at him when he opens his eyes, opens eyes again normal etc)
the problem is im having trouble taking it in a direction in my original story it was very short but i want a 20-30 min film. help. need scary ideas. need help thinking of the unexpected. ok im not expecting much help but usually when i moan about having no ideas i usually have a burst of inspiration
so thanks for being there to moan at
any opinioons of idea ? ive given a very very very vauge idea of the plot but what do you think ?
