anyone see this film? i never saw it when it was playing in the theatres so i had no idea why it was nominated for best picture but now i know. i'd have a really hard time deciding btwn traffic and gladiator now that i've seen them both. Benicio del Toro is one of the best actors ever. i loved him in Snatch as well....what other films has he been in?

Traffic was really an amazing cinematic experience. I really thought Catherine Zeta-Jones was amazing (and I still think she should have at least been nominated for Oscar best actress). Gladiator was kind of a disappointment on for me. Russel Crowe was good, but the whole look of the film almost was an assault on my eyes.
Rent Kubrick's Spartacus instead.

Benicio Del toro was very cool in The Way Of The Gun and very funny in The Usual Suspects. He was even in a james bond film. He has been in loads of stuff. Check out www.imdb.com they will have all the info you need.

I think Benecio is one of the best latin actors out there today.
He also starred in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas along side Johnny Depp.

What I loved about traffic was the photography. The way it tells you where the hell you are, its different in every geographical place. It?s great!
About gladiator, I personally thought it sucked! I agree with thousanth, rent spatacus.
