this is just a gloat posting to say that my short in the jeans has been selected for screening at the Raindance Festival in a shorts
programme titled Short Bread on Wednesday 18th October at 14.30 at the Metro
Cinema, 19 Rupert Street, LONDON W1V 3PF . u prolly think that this is wank, but it's my first screenplay so i'm soooo proud.

i'll hafta ask the prod company, to tell you the truth i know very little about it all, i just wrote it, put part of the money up for it and provided the location to shoot it in.
suppose thats what screenwritings all about really...but without us u'd have nothing.

it was submitted on VHS (not by me though), but i think they require a beta SP copy for the film festival. i'm not technically minded so i don't even know what beta SP is! as i said, i write screenplays and that is all i do, leave the other stuff to those who are qualified/know what they r on about.

was about a gay lad trying to build up the courage to tell his homophobic dad about his sexuallity. He thinks of all the scenarios that be a result of him telling his dad (mostly violent outcomes). When he finally plucks up courage to tell him, he walks in on his dad and boyfriend snogging. he walks off smiling "that was easier than i thought". that was it...al 6 minutes ten seconds of it.

Beta SP or Betacam "Superior Performance", to give it the full title, is a format developed by Sony in 1989. It consists of a half-inch tape with FM Audio tracks used by broadcasters throughoutr the world mainly for E.N.G (electronic news gathering) which completely done away with 16mm film for news stories. ( news was needed fast so time wasted processing film was something tv didnt need)
