There are 2 pretty easy ways to use your gl1 or any videocamera for that matter. The easiest is if it has frame record or something to that nature use it. Yeah it is a chunky as hell but if you speed it up it look fine. Or if you want really good animation you could record every "frame" or movement or whatever then takeout one frame from every movement and discard everything else, takes a while but you can get a ultra smooth animation that is not possible otherwise in video

Hi!
I make my animated film on a Mac, which is the best option, as Mac's are industrie standard in animation ie: Disney, DreamWorks etc. There is some pretty funky software around, the best and most affordable and the one I use is Digi Cel ST http://www.digicelinc.com but this software is mainly for 2D work like traditional cartoons. If you wanna do some 3D stuff like Shrek go to www.3dcafe.com .Using a computer is a lot better than just usuing a camera and film, as you'll make loads of mistakes with timing and stuff when you first get started, also some software virtually does lip sync for you. If wanna ask me anything just Email me

i suggest downloading flash 5.0 trial (a software made especially for animation) and crack it (as you can tell, im a cheap bastard).
with it, you can draw, paste .jpg's, .png's, .gif's, or .bmp's and do whatever.
thats how i did my first good cartoon, farewell 2 arms...
