3 years? Wow. I'm going to give my honest opinions as a guy who knows nothing about you or your work.
Ok positives first. Some of the shots are really good, especailly the opening bits of the boat and the "wildlife stuff" towards the end. There's a certain atmosphere you've created throughout (a very, very odd one) but I stayed with it.
And now the minus side.
That music. Horrible. I'll forgive the opening bit because the images are so strong and I was feeling a sort of Twin Peaks vibe. But the fishing part was just what the hell?
I didnt care for your man's acting. Even though he wasn't doing much I was having trouble buying it.
And I didn't get it. Now, I make a lot of abstract stuff myself and I'm not as bothered by that as some people might be, but I really have no idea what the point was.
Also why does the aspect ration keep changing? Was it filmed off the TV?

For the first half of the movie I kept expecting Jim Rockford to turn up and ask for his theme tune back.
I thought the landing a fish routine and the establishing shots up to that point could benefit from some trimming and some colour balance matching.
Once it got going it was quite hypnotic, I liked the way it jumped back in time without drawing attention to itself.
Were all those nature shots you, or, stock?
