Volume 1 was just a loose CD... but Volume 2 (the DVD) had a cover...
The cover was the same as the first image on the exposureshorts website... cut-up newspapers (but in black-n-white)

Brainmuncher: what's the quality of your movie?
There are always ways to resize it, (without losing too much quality), or to present it in a way that doesn't look too dodgy (i.e. black borders).
I'm guessing Digital 8 quality is a bit shoddy for you guys... i need to get a cine camera or a better digital one...
Vertino - what do you make / shoot on? (sorry to latch on to you there, but i noticed your location and havent found any people in Southport area that want to make films)
We've been using the Canon XM1 for alot of our films... so its miniDV all the way!
I wouldn't worry too much about what format you shoot on... at this stage its all about getting ideas going, and actually making the damn'd things!
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">YES! We should definately have trailers on there... anything thats going to make more interest about the filmmakers on this forum is gotta be a good thing!!!Originally posted by Untamed Aggression:
Incidentally, am I right in thinking trailers can be submitted?
Any idea of the new submission date?
Just started shooting a new film which should be better quality than my last piece of trash...so this might give me some sort of deadlines
I'm thinking we open the submissions at the end of Jan... then close then at the end of Feb... then have the DVD done during March.... all for a April release!
anyone got any objections? suggestions? ideas? help out? funding? etc...
I'd like to submit something, though i only have the edited versions on computer - where do things get posted to for the compilation? And can i send them in on CD (what format? obviously with highest quality my computer can muster).
Regardless of whether i do submit / get accepted / whatever, ill do what i can to promote: leaflets, posters, college magazine article (? - its a start right?), local paper(s) in my area that sort of thing. I just need a little more of an idea of what message you want to say in these? i could also try and get someone to design a spangly new website (?) though ive got no problem with the current one.
There's well gotta be a better way to order them (?) should people be interested etc, or is it in the hands of the people who helped make it to distribute at their will and order copies?
Forgive my ignorance, but it gives me something to do til uni can provide me with some stimulating work...
