Board?

Hey there.

My scanner has gone **** up... So I'm going to have to buy a new one this weekend. I have a whole bunch of story boards to upload and show you guys. But they'll have to wait.

The reason for my post is I wanna see your boards. Do you use them? What are they like? I'm **** poor at drawing but I still do a ton of doodles before we actualy start anything. We are also doing a bunch of 3d animatics too for this short (totaly not needed I know) that I will post on here.

Basicaly I wanna see your stuff. The kind of standard you guys work at? Just a pen and pencil? Or do you paint? Use the computer?

These are a few very old, old drawings I did for something we did a long time ago now... They are the only things I can find uploaded of mine. Poor I know but they help us out. I think.

They didn't work for me either, but I'd like to see 'em. I have a few storyboards and sketches. Pencil Illustrations is actually one of my strengths.

But computer literacy is not.

I don't know how to post my stuff here. After scanning the drawings, what do I do next?

I also have some computer drawn ones, which i ll try and get up, though if you go to the MI fourth shot pictures you can see some of them with the shot being set up around them

I usually don't use them. Although I have in the past. But even for our forst feature, I only storyboarded one scene. Mostly because I am the DP, and the script is relatively detailed in that respect.

I use some standard blank frames and a fineliner and just go to work. Sometimes they're quite good, it depends whether I'm doing them at 4am or not.

For example, practically every shot of Twatting Zombies was storyboarded. But I've only storyboarded the action and a couple of specific shots for Killer Sandwich. Much to my tutor's annoyance, I really can't be arsed doing boards for dialogue and exposition.

For this project, we also took a leaf out of the Rodriguez Bible and did a video storyboard the day before we shot it. It's on the DVD, if my mate ever gets round to putting it on his site.

chance 123: what do you mean where have i been? the movie looks kinda cool, except for the zombies (if they are gratuitous, if they serve a purpose ignore what i said). the concept is wicked, just the kind of movie i'd go and see. good lucka dn stuff. also, what happened to you on new years eve?

i was gonna put my storyboards on here but after seeing all of yours i realise that they look like a 6 year old japanese kid drew them and they should be burned.
