i say this to everyone here who asks about camcorders... no disrepect to the people on this board but they are hardly experts on camcorders (myself included) and those of us which do have alot of technical knowledge seem to be more film based than video... what i suggest is you go to simplydv.co.uk and ask about first movie making camcorders there... Colin who runs the site writes just about every review of cameras in the UK camcorder magazines and he will piont you in the right direction im sure!

As for your short... what can i say? It is quite possibly the best debut short ive ever seen. You take what is a very simple idea and create a movie which is very entertaining from it. OK its not goint to win any awards, but as the first step on the ladder of becoming a director you cant fault it at all. I look foward to seeing the next thing you do [img]smile.gif[/img]

if theres one thing you could improve on your movie its the editing... there are a few moments where the shot lingers a split second longer than it should... the edit between the foot and the skateboard? shot is an example off the top of my head

but its not something to worry about, editing rhythm is just something you learn over time from doing editing [img]smile.gif[/img]

<font color="orange">Yeah, I might re-edit it somewhen from the original clips, we done it in the spur of the moment kinda thing, took us 5-6 hours from start to finish. I only use Windows Movie Maker, this seems pretty good for what I need, I don't know what everyone else thinks about WMM. Can anyone recommend any good movie editing software, that doesn't cost 1000's of pounds?</font>

Pinnacle Studio 8 (buggy but new version coming out soon which might solve things)

If you want to spend more theres the likes of Vegas which are very good. Alot of young film makers simply download what ever they want for free illegaly from places like Kazaa, its good to see someone actually wanting to pay for a change.

I know what you mean about downloading stuff on kazaa, I'm probably one of the very few people in the world who doesn't! I prefer the genuine article, though it does annoy me when I buy something, and people are getting the same thing for free. And they wonder why people use p2p!?!?
