I'm a PC user but after some Macintosh experience I'm quite certain that nothing beats a Mac configured for video editing. The single-button mouse pisses me off though.

Rocket science.

I really hated it when you had to hold the mouse button down in order to keep a meny open
But come on .. which is easier - to right-click or to hold down some button on the keyboard and THEN click the only mouse button?
My friend was a PC user until he started editing TV commercials last year and he still gets frustrated when he can't right-click.
This discussion could go on forever.

tell him to buy a 2 button mouse for his Mac. Then he'll be able to gentle massage his penis with his free hand.

Mr. Normal,
I 'work in the industry' as well. I own an event videography company. My 'transition' to OSX cost me $79.99. You can buy 5 licenses for OSX Panther, the newest version, for $199.99. Anyone who can't afford to make that transition isn't going to be in the industry for very long. All my competitors use the same operating system, or XP and Premiere. It is very rare to use software that is that outdated. And you can be a 'creative' and have at least tolerable spelling and grammar. That is another thing that helps you seem more professional in 'the industry'.
