does anyone know where I can get free fill-in-the-blank contracts for film and television - e.g. for a writer to sign to allow a director to direct their script.
any help would be much appreciated.

Try reading; 'The Guerilla Film Makers Handbook' by C. Jones & G. Joliffe- the book contains details on legal contracts and comes with a CD with all the forms already on it. (It's worth buying).

I found some here!

They are all PDF documents, so you'll either have to print them out.... or make 'editable' ones in Word or something!
Plus if you're looking for any kind of filmmaking document... you can always use Google
